The sales of US$123 million of VTech CMS in calendar year 2001 was ranked in the top 50 Contract Manufacturers, according to results for the annual MMI Top 50 (Manufacturing Market Insider) list of the world's largest EMS (electronics manufacturing services) providers. The EMS provider industry has more than 1000 members and the ranking was based on calendar year 2001 sales. The result was published in the March 2002 issue of MMI.

To rank the MMI Top 50, EMS providers needed sales of at least $119 million in 2001. Companies in the MMI Top 50 combined for an estimated US$77.9 billion in sales in year 2001.
